All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for focusing on Muslim ladies and making obstacles for them during democratic interaction. The Delhi unit of the BJP has called for a “legitimate check” of lady electors wearing burqas.
“The Delhi unit of the BJP has told the Political Decision Commission that there ought to be an extraordinary checking of ladies in burqas. During the new Lok Sabha decisions in Telangana, their up-and-comer freely offended and badgered Muslim ladies. In each political decision, the BJP discovers some reason or another to hassle and target Muslim ladies,” Asaduddin Owaisi said in an X post.
Prior, the Delhi BJP designation met with the Boss Electing Official (President) on Wednesday, encouraging a careful check of ladies electors wearing ‘burqa’ or facial coverings during the surveying on May 25, with a particular solicitation for female authorities to direct the confirmation interaction.
Owaisi said that the survey body has clear principles not to permit anybody to vote without a check. He blamed the BJP for pestering Muslim ladies with “extraordinary interest.”.
“The Political Decision Commission has clear guidelines and guidelines for ladies who don’t notice purdah; whether they are in burqa, shroud, or cover, nobody is permitted to cast a ballot without confirmation, so for what reason did the BJP need to make such an extraordinary interest? Simply target Muslim ladies, annoy them, and make snags in casting a ballot,” he said.
In a different occurrence, an argument has been documented against Madhavi Latha, the BJP possibility for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, after an implied video surfaced showing her examining the citizen ID cards of Muslim ladies at a surveying corner. The case incorporates charges under different segments of the Indian Correctional Code and the Portrayal of Individuals Act.
Every one of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will go to the polls on May 25. The political decision results will be declared on June 4.
